San Clemente Island
The San Clemente Island Goat Association is going through a transition. Longtime Association Coordinator Leslie Edmundson is dying of cancer, so John Carroll is kindly taking over as Coordinator. He holds about 20% of the global population of SCI goats, but that's not why we chose him.
John started his herd by finding the "lost" herds. Many stranded does and even the Nellie Gail bloodline are now in full breeding force thanks to John. He has also worked extremely hard to publicize the goats, both through varied media and on a local level. John is in full agreement with the SCI Goat Association's conservation directive, and gets along really well with breeders and newbies! John has been consistently supportive and helpful for many years. We're lucky to have him on board.
John gets pretty busy, so we're also going to add on a few more people to contactwe'll be fine-tuning the list over the winter of 2016/2017. As John Carroll gets more into the groove of coordinating the Association, he may increase or reduce the list of contacts. All breeders, newbies, and wanna-be's are highly encouraged to contact their local breeders. . . or even some faraway ones! The more breeders get to know each other personally, the better we can all work together to conserve these goats and have FUN doing it!
The Association has a new e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
(The old e-mail address of email@example.com still hooks up to Leslie)
